The 40th Warwick Folk Festival, which took place from the 25 – 28 July, attracted record numbers and featured a superb line up of folk stars from around the world including headline act, Billy Bragg. Over 30,000 people attended a range of festival events over the 4-day weekend with the crowds enjoying a mini heatwave on the Thursday and Friday.
‘Only Here’ is a selection of exciting festivals, shows and destinations, which have been handpicked for visitors to highlight the region’s varied arts, culture and science offer. They range from a headbanging homage to heavy metal music, to a “first-glass”, international festival of glassmaking.
The British Motor Museum is once again supporting the Stratford Festival of Motoring and displaying an iconic Mini from its collection. At this year’s Stratford Festival the Mini is taking centre-stage to celebrate its 60th anniversary with one of the streets being renamed ‘Issigonis Alley’ in honour of Mini’s designer Alec Issigonis.
