You are here > Coronavirus (COVID-19) update
The global coronavirus pandemic means that we’re not able to travel, meet people, and experience the world like we usually can.
For more information about what’s going on, all guidelines from the UK Government about coronavirus can be found here. Please follow all public health advice to make sure that you keep yourself, your loved ones, and other people safe.
The government has set out its plan to return life to as near normal as possible. This means that some attractions, venues, retail outlets and restaurants (offering takeaway or delivery) across the West Midlands will start to reopen – you can find a list here.
The Visit Birmingham team is aware that many hospitality and tourism businesses are facing a tough time. We will continue to help them as much as possible – and we’ll be here to shout about this wonderful city when the UK can fully openits doors again.
If you want to support our local businesses during this time, many of them are running voucher and deposit schemes ready for when you can visit us again. A number will be happy to reschedule your visit to a later date. We are sharing their messages and updates via our Visit Birmingham Twitter, Facebook and Instagram accounts.
If you’re a local business, you can find more information from us here.
The safety and wellbeing of visitors to Birmingham and the West Midlands are our priority. We are a resilient bunch and will support you and each other during this time, as we get through this together.
If you have any other questions about visiting here, let us know at @visit_bham or find a list of frequently asked questions here.
Our sympathies are with those affected around the world. Stay safe, guys.
