Chapter is the delightful independent neighbourhood restaurant and bar celebrating superb seasonal British produce in the heart of Edgbaston Village.
With a glorious sun soaked front terrace and back patio we’re open Tuesday to Sunday from 9.30am for drinks, breakfast, lunch and dinner ( on Sunday our last food orders are at 3.30pm). Children are always welcome and we have a children’s menu along with some super children-friendly mocktails.
Step into our bar with views over beautiful Greenfield Crescent and into our state of the art open kitchen where you can watch all the theatre of a professional kitchen at work. The style of Chef Director Ben Ternent and his kitchen brigade is nature-led, rooted in seasonality and quality British produce. We buy only free range meat (Cornish lamb, Suffolk pork, Yorkshire beef), LEAF accredited fruit & veg from a mere 30 miles away( in Warwickshire, Herefordshire and Worcstershire) and daily catches from day boats landing at Brixham harbour. This commitment to seasonality, sustainability, and welfare is part of our DNA.
In fine weather, the bar spills out onto our front upper and lower terraces where you can enjoy a drink and maybe order something from our light bar menu watching the world go by. We run Happy Hours every Tuesday to Saturday, available early evenings from 5pm to 6pm, and at twilight from 10pm to 11pm. Dogs are welcome in the bar and lounge.
We welcome group bookings and private events and can arragne the booking of the restaruant on an exclusive basis.
We love supporting independents in Birmingham and our coffee and our bread both come from small outlets in the city - Ten Four Bakehouse in Stirchley, 200 Degrees Coffee on Colmore Row.
Our neighbourhood boasts many of Birmingham’s wonderful attractions and closer to home on Greenfield Crescent shop at the independent Kin for furniture and homewares, Lux Gallery for original artwork, jewellery and pottery, and My Baby Stroller for children’s toys, clothes and equipment.
Come and experience the quality flavours and relaxed atmosphere of Chapter’s restaurant, bar and terrace. We can’t wait to welcome you!
