Darwin Escapes has further developed its offering of premium UK breaks with the opening of its stunning new Stratford-Upon-Avon Lodge Retreat, deep in the heart of Warwickshire.
The 44 luxury lodges sit in an area of outstanding natural beauty, guaranteeing a getaway full of stunning sights but with the added intrigue of the nearby hustle-and-bustle of historic Stratford-Upon-Avon.
Opened at the end of May, the lodges – which come in nine different types – offer an exciting yet relaxed opportunity for self-catering holidays with fully fitted kitchens, floor to ceiling windows, large dining and living areas and, expansive decking - a perfect mix for all the family. A variety of lodges also offer private hot tubs.
As with all Darwin Escapes locations, the Stratford-upon-Avon Retreat will be operating through the summer at capacity with full COVID safety protocols in place, meaning that guests can rest easy in the knowledge that they will be safe and secure during their stay.
The site also hosts the Stratford Armories Museum, now reopened and updated by Darwin Escapes, with its fascinating war exhibitions that include a collection of mementos from the life of Winston Churchill.
Whether its shopping, glorious walks in the tranquility of the countryside or even enjoying the flexibility of the pet-friendly lodges with a dip in the hot-tub, the latest offering from Darwin Escapes is the perfect solution for a relaxing staycation in an idyllic setting.
Known by many as the birthplace of the legendary poet and playwright, William Shakespeare, Stratford-Upon-Avon still revels in its connection to the brilliant wordsmith with a museum of his life located in the same house he was born in and continuing to the Holy Trinity Church where his body rests.
Darwin Escapes has developed extensive links with the area over recent years, including the sponsorship of The Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC) since 2018. This summer the RSC will be starting their summer season in the newly built “Garden Theater” and Darwin Escapes is the sponsor of “The Comedy of Errors” production.
Tickets for the production can be purchased at: www.rsc.org.uk/the-comedy-of-errors/tickets/
Lindsey Esse, managing director of Darwin Escapes said: “Our Stratford-upon-Avon Lodge Retreat is something that we have been planning for several years and we are thrilled to be able to welcome guests to come and stay at the resort.
