The Stratford-upon-Avon Butterfly Farm is the perfect tropical place to feel the festive warmth this Christmas and escape the cold and wet weather. With temperatures of over 25°C, the popular attraction is the ideal place to take family and friends to soak up the warmth of a summer’s day during the festive holidays without having to leave the UK!

In the rainforest flight area visitors can discover the stunningly beautiful Christmas Butterfly, also known as Papilio demodocus. Families can also meet new residents including the striking Crested Pigeons, originating from Australia and the Roul Roul Partridges, originating from the rainforests of South-East Asia, as well as two venomous Black Widow Spiders and six delightful juvenile Axolotl. Often referred to as the Mexican Walking Fish, the Axolotl is not a fish but an amphibian. Axolotls are critically endangered and can only be found in two small lakes near Mexico City. They are relatively easy to breed in captivity which is why the Butterfly Farm can display these remarkable creatures.

The Butterfly Farm’s gift shop is a treasure trove of ideas and a wonderful place to buy stocking fillers and nature inspired presents.
